During each school holiday since launching we have run our camps for children and teens of all ages. These camps culminated in our BeatWave Summer Camp programme which ran for the duration of July and August, and the response was incredible – so much positive feedback from parents saying they have never experienced a music camp quite like it! We provided all students real, hands-on opportunities to enjoy and learn about musical instruments, form and play in a bands, learn about sound and music, learn to DJ and make their own music using GarageBand.
Hands-On Music Learning for Kids
From day one, students of various ages were immersed in real music-making. They learned to DJ on professional Pioneer DJ equipment, produced their own tracks using GarageBand, and explored drums, piano, keyboard and guitar. Many formed mini bands, giving them the chance to perform together and build confidence in front of the rest of the class audience.
Students Wanted to Return
One of the clearest measures of success was the large number of students returning for multiple weeks. A highlight for our entire teaching team was watching skills, confidence and musical curiosity develop over the course of the Summer.
Creativity, Collaboration and New Friendships
Each week was met with structured skill-building with fun challenges, friendly competitions and group activities, designed to encourage teamwork and creative thinking. Beyond learning to DJ or produce a track, our musicians built friendships, discovered their strengths and expressed themselves in a supportive environment.
Looking Ahead: Making Music 2026
We are already planning our future holiday camps and youth programming for students, our next step in bringing structured, performance-led music education to more students across Dubai. The focus will remain the same: real instruments, real equipment, and real opportunities to create.
We are proud of every music lover who joined us this Summer, and we look forward to welcoming returning and new students to our expanded 2026 programming.
